Dear fellow kinsmen & women:
It is with great hope that I share this good news! Four hours ago, I received our license and Certificate of Registration to operate as a public company limited by guarantee.
All in good and divine timing that in 2010 we set the motion to register LajeRotuma (note that LajeRotuma incorrectly spelt i.e. without the 2 dots above the 'a') and was informed then by the Registrar's that we would need to revise our Constitution. We tried to and had several versions, floated to friends and contacts for their help.
In 2016 we finally sought legal help with Laurel and the process to register began....Thank you to the Rotuma Women Association for their prayers, Council of Rotuma and our elders, our families and partners for ongoing support and faith in us.
Here is to our new chapter in this lifelong learning and action that moves beyond subsistence, to our ability of making informed choices for Rotuma, 'Otou Hanue.
